The Kiwanis Foundation of Baton Rouge was incorporated on the 19th of December, 1968. The foundation has been tax-exempt since 2015 and is designated as a 501(c)(3) non-profit.
The foundation aims to conduct charitable, literary, and educational programs to assist needy persons, especially young people; assist worthy youths in attaining vocational excellence, and aiding handicapped persons.
The direction and administration of the foundation is vested in a Board of Directors. The Board of Directors meet annually for a business meeting.
